  I can't say enough about working with Dennis Chaney from Afford a DJ. He took the time to meet with us on such short notice. Listened to what we wanted for our reception, not only from the music that we wanted played but how we wanted the overall atmosphere to be . How we wanted our guest to feel. And really kept the party going . He is not only a great guy that plays music for you , he is the coordinator, the MC, with a great personality that made even the little things that were not going as planned funny and most of all memorable. There is not a doubt that this is the DJ you want to hire. I can't thank you enough Dennis Chaney for helping to make my dream come true. You are the best at what you do, you are an amazing person , We did not just hire a DJ , we made a great Friend when we met you. Dj D was awesome!! When our original DJ backed out 2 months before our wedding, we started panicking. We found Dj D within an hour of looking and we’re so glad we did! He was so easy to work with and talk to, and not to mention, very reasonable! Played a great selection of songs and kept everyone out there dancing!! I would definitely recommend him to anyone!

  The Dj for our day had to set up a speaker in the dinner room, and play music in the reception room. Dennis handled that with ease, even with speeches in both rooms.  DENNIS WAS WITH MY WIFE AND I THROUGHOUT THE WEDDING PROCESS. WE SAT DOWN FOR HOURS ONE AFTERNOON GOING THROUGH ALL TYPES OF MUSIC WE WANTED TO HERE AND THE ONES WE DIDN'T WANT. WE PICKED OUT CERTAIN SONGS WE WANTED PLAYED AND LEFT THE REST UP TO HIM. OUR RECEPTION WAS SUPPOSED TO BE OUTSIDE, BUT IT RAINED OFF AND ON ALL DAY. DENNIS PLAYED THE WEDDING MARCH AND ALSO THE RECEPTION. WE MOVED IT INSIDE AND BACK OUTSIDE SEVERAL TIMES. UNTIL WE JUST GAVE UP AND KEPT IT INSIDE. DENNIS MOVED WITH US AND NEVER COMPLAINED AND EVEN HELPED OUT! THE RECEPTION WAS SUPPOSED TO END AT MIDNIGHT, BUT BECAUSE OF THE RAIN IT GOT GOING LATE. DENNIS HAD THE DANCE FLOOR PACKED UNTIL AFTER 2:00 AM! MY WIFE AND I WILL SAY OUR WEDDING ENDED UP BEING OK, BUT BECAUSE OF DENNIS THE RECEPTON WAS ONE OF THE BEST TIMES OF OUR LIFE!

      Dennis was the DJ for my granddaughter's wedding ceremony on Saturday, August 8th and he was the best!! He played all the music she requested and more. I had Dj D play my festival and luau combined, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm

and I had a live band play from 8:00pm to 12:am, and for the second time in two years I made the mistake in hiring the band to play the last 4 hours! Dingy (Dj D) is so much better than that band, I will pay him whatever he wants to play the whole festival next year! He did my spring fling in june and he had some new lights that were awsome! He plays so well to the crowd everyone gets involved, and they dance more for him than they do with the live music! He has a permanate date for me the first week in aug now every year!

  Dj D did such a wonderful job at our wedding reception that we booked him again for another reception for our friends that couldn't make the wedding. He even had some beautiful guitar music playing downstairs  where the dinner was. The second reception had some people that were into musicals and theater. They wanted to lip sink to most the songs, and Dennis gave them dummy mics to use. Our friends had a great time singing and dancing to the musicals he was playing. We will hire him again when a Dj is needed!

We had seen Dennis at my sisters wedding last year and he came highly recommended. Dennis is great with communication and is willing to help customize the music to your weddings theme. He was open to our gothic romance theme and even dressed to match. Dennis provided an itinerary and kept everyone on task to keep the night running smoothly. Dingy was quick to respond and we were able to reschedule plus I had to change locations, change the time, and some of the things needed changed too. He was completely helpful and his only concern was that my event went well. When the event finally took place he arrived early, very professional through out the whole event, and he was great with the kids and teenagers. He was totally the hit of the party.   We hired Dj D through Thumbtack for are annual 4th of July party for are employees. He showed up early and was playing music a half an hour before his start time. He was supposed to play from 4:00pm to 9:pm and be done before the fireworks started. Everyone was dancing and having such a good time we asked him to stay longer.    My company ask me to hire a Dj for New Years Eve about 2 weeks before the 31st. So I put a request on Thumbtack and Dj D got back with me very quickly. He said he was not planning to do a party this year, but since we were just a couple miles away he would do it. Dingy Chaney (Dj D) was hired to do our annual Halloween party. He showed up early and started playing before his start time. It was an outside event and the weather did not cooperate! He had to set up inside our workshop barn so his equipment would not get wet, it rained pretty hard at times. Dingy stayed the hours he was payed for and then some. The music was great and the kids kept him busy with request. My plan is to get him back for next year, just hope the weather turns out better for the event!

 We hired Dingy to play for my daughters wedding reception, and it couldn't have been done any better! Even though my daughter had a couple surprises he was not expecting, like the priest not showing up to do the blessing, the order for the party to come in was wrong, she had a video planned to play before they arrived, and her maid of honors were planning a rap the bride didn't even know about? Dingy handled it in stride, did the blessing himself, made jokes about the order being changed without his knowing, and kept things moving along nicely. I would recommend him highly, especially for his price!

    DJ D did a fantastic job at our wedding reception! From the moment we submitted the request on Thumbtack he was very responsive, guiding us through the planning process and offering helpful tips along the way. He even did a site survey of the location ahead of time to make sure everything would go as expected. On the day of the event he was there well ahead of time setting up his top notch equipment, and really helped us stick to our schedule while remaining flexible. He was very personable and we would not hesitate to hire him again in the future!

  Everything was perfect! Dj Chaney went above and beyond. People were dancing the entire night of our wedding. I was upset because I wasn't able to be out on the dance floor as often as I wanted so I could chat with all our guest. He is amazing. He even purchased a new outdoor portable speaker for our officiant for out door ceremony. He had the perfect amounts of lights and is very detailed oriented. I couldn't have had a better DJ for my wedding!

  From the moment we gave Dj D the deposit to secure our date, he was on top of things. Asking questions that we never thought of, and keeping us on the right track to a wonderful wedding. We planned our ceremony outside on the first week in April, thinking the weather would be nice! This year it was not, it was cold, it even snowed that night before. So we moved it inside to be safe. When Dj D showed up a couple hours before the event he said to me, it's too bad you moved it inside, the sun is shining and it's in the upper 40's! So I called Angie and she was all for moving it back outside. While the Dj was setting up, he was also helping me move chairs outside. My new wife got her outdoor wedding and Dj D set up his portable pa system to play the music, and even had a mic for the officiant! He then proceeded to run the reception, announce all the festivities, and play some great music. I gave him a 5 star review on Thumbtack, and could not be happier about my choice to hire him.  We hired Dj D after attending a friends wedding, where he was playing. Dennis kept in constant contact with us while planning our wedding. The day of the event it rained the whole day, and our wedding and reception was outdoors! The ceremony was in a field a short walk from the house, where the reception was. We decided to have the ceremony in the field anyway, and I told Dj D he did not have to go out their because his equipment could get wet. Being the person he is, throwed a plastic bag over his pa speaker and tripod, then took off to ceremony spot. Our wedding turned out great even though it rained all night because Dj D kept everyone dancing and having fun. Thanks for being our Dj!
